The NoF template "Relentless" does this. Check it out. Or, as I usually do, you can create the footer as part of your background image fixed to a horizontal repeat.

Thank you! Now I understand what you mean. It's worth considering. However, the site concerned is also made according to a NoF template. I think it's called Balloon Ride. So, I will first have to do a lot of studying of where and how within this template.
