haven't purchased nof 11 yet ,looking to do so as soon as i get an answer.

You "may" have issues with some of the older components such as the nav bar component as that component has changed since version 8.
If you find that you have issues with components the only way to resolve them is to delete the component from the page and place a new (version 11) copy of the component on the page and configure it again.
Other than that, migration is straight forward
