Is there a proven tool to remove installation's leftover files?

Hi, More often than not, after i uninstall a program, there are still leftover files under the Appdata folder, the Common Files folder, Documents and registry entries, and these files sometimes mess up my new installations by "remembering" old setrings.

I've tried Ashampoo Uninstaller 10, but it doesn't do a thorough job and while it removes some relevant files and registry, there are still leftovers left after running it.

Is there a tool, either commecial or free, that can truly handle the removal of all leftover files?
