I can remember hearing that a lot (I grew up on a farm).
There was a neighbor that had a tee shirt with the word MARGARINE on it and
below that it said:
"What's that made of anyway?"

Often happens when we olduns start to think about the past.
I remember, when I was just a small boy, saying to Noah "You'll never be
able to drag that boat to the water."

Seems like this thread has wandered off the topic.

My God, the first Edsel debut was in 1958? That's really interesting because
I recall the Edsel and all the negativity about it as having been in the mid
to late 60's! Interesting for sure but I suppose marketing and all that
worked a lot differently than our "more instant" world of today.

Thanks for an interesting wrote-up. Hard to believe it had such a short
life, but there were a lot of lessons to be learned there!

I'm surprised it's still available at that price; it was $50 for a long
time. I'd say go for it as it is actually a great product; just don't expect
fast bug fixes or any real support except for this newsgroup.
Upgrades are normally (and advertised as such) $109 with a Full Product
costing $199. And, when I was messing around with following the progress,
you were only allowed one competitive upgrade. You had to them buy a full
upgrade in order to get another competitive upgrade. And I've never seen the
cheaper $45/50 upgrades advertised or linked to on the NO website. I was
there a few days ago to see what worked and what didn't and there weren't
any new things at all that I could find; only a few links that quit working
long ago were taken down. I don't look at it having been outsourced to
Romanis as one poster said as a very good indicator.
Anyone have a link to anyplace it's sold except netobjects.com? I've
never found one at least. The only thing I feel sure of is that Netobjects
doesn't own it, which means they're getting a hefty payment for
selling/delivering the product to unsuspecting users who are unaware there
is no offical support for the app.
