I am not sure what you exactly ask. I use it as Windows application similar to Netobjects and publish it in HTML (not using the cms plugins). I do not own or use Mac so I cannot say anything about it.
I am not sure if this is the right place here... ;)
and it lacks a little information... what type of programmer you search for, what do you want to do, what language/database or whatever is needed

It would have been better if they would have communicated it this way, that NOF is dead end, that they perhaps are working on product xyz to replace it (perhaps with a blog updated from time to time)
