WEBDAV. That's what we've used the last three semesters. For some reason, it's not working now.
Rats! You gave me an idea but it didn't work. There's a way to map a Xythos folder as a drive, so I...

Mike,
Thanks for your quick response. Unfortunately, Xythos doesn't support FTP. If it did, we could just use FTP directly from NOF. (Couldn't we?)
I'll check with our IT support people...
Fusion XII (12.00.0000.5071), Windows 7. Using the same WEBDAV publishing instructions this semester that we've used spring 2011, fall 2011, spring 2012, but now the students and I get a "Connection...
Any idea how such a thing might get in there? It strikes me as strange that it happened to two students and not all the others.
I wish I knew what the problem might be. These are tiny, simple three-page web sites with one image on one page. Everyone uses the same instructions.
Thanks. That's simple enough. Will so note in my instructions! (although my students are typically using a folder other than User Sites, but I found the recovery folder)
gotFusion,
I don't feel comfortable providing the URL in public, but can do so via e-mail or PM. Privacy issues and all that!

Three of my students completely lost their web sites when reoptimizing after verifying their file assets while creating a template to use for backup. This was in a section of 16. Oddly enough, no...
A couple of my students's web sites have some oddly-bolded text and I'd appreciate any help anyone might offer on troubleshooting and fixing the problem. The screen shots below (probably in the wrong...
Terrific. I finally got a response to the trouble ticket that I submitted and the response had absolutely nothing to do with the problem. I don't think the tech saw anything other than the word...
Still not a peep, including to the support ticket I submitted.
I think that NOF loses track of the link the the graphics locally during the publish because once you publish, the graphics disappear when you preview, so even though they are local and they haven't...
I'm pretty sure that mine is interaction between NOF and the WebDAV publishing. I have no problems with local publish (to a local or network drive) or FTP publish. I've had quite a few students using...
This does sound similar to what is happening with my graphics and WebDAV publish! Publish once, graphics show up in web site. After that, though, graphics missing from preview and any subsequent...
Bumping this since it's been over 3 days. Am not asking for a solution at this point, just some acknowledgment that the problem is repeatable (or not).
Kaika,
Different people will be using computers with different resolution screens to view your site, so no matter how careful you are, you're not going to get your content centered on the page for...
It may have to do with the width you see when you are working in design view and the width you see when you view the actual page. The background is going to be different widths on different...
I can see the home page using your URL. Don't know if that's what was missing. Viewing in Firefox, there's overlap in the text in the middle of the page.
Richard,
Do you by any chance have lots of fonts installed? Just asking because someone mentioned recently that lots of fonts can cause slowness. I've dealt with that slowness in NOF 10 with one...
How about a URL?
Scot,
I agree that there outta be a way, and it looks like there will be. I'm just saying that I've run into it with other software and did something myself so I did not have a reason to keep...
Scot,
Makes perfect sense. I ran into something like this for some statistical programming software and ended up generating output with all the different "looks", taking screen shots, and setting...
Scot,
By template, do you mean SiteStyle? If so, you don't have to create a site for each style. Create a new blank site and create a single page. Then click the Style button, then the + sign...
Mike,
Off the specific topic of this post, but I believe that "There's an app for that!" has a corollary here: "There's a gotFusion tutorial for that!" I used information in several of your...
Shutterbug,
I'm just taking a wild guess here, as I haven't used photo galleries. I set up a simple web site with two pages in it and was able to create a different gallery on each page. After...
