    Default Creating an interactive Forum

    Hi,
Is there a way to make a page interactive so that people can post questions, comments, etc.. and other people that visit the site can answer them, including the administrators? A forum like this one.

Yes, you can place a forum on a domain.

Most are "stand alone" i.e. they are self contained with their own headers, footers, and body.

Find one that fits with your web hosting and just place a link to the forum (just like NetO has for this forum)

Can you please give me more of an explanation? Is there a way to do this within NetObjects Fusion Essentials?

It depends entirely on which forum program you use which depends entirely on what your web host allows. Some do not allow forums.

Ask your web host what you can use. Once you narrow it down to yes you can or no you can't then you can move into how to wrap it with Fusion coding.

You might look into a managed forum (one that is stored remotely not on your hosting account)

Others have reported success embedding the necessary coding into their Fusion web sites.

In addition to Mike's examples, have a look at wordpress. It's a good alternative, there are even online templates that can be used by people with nearly no webdesign experience and at no cost. People can leave comments, you can have a dialogue there. It has nothing to do with NetObjects of course. It's a completely different concept. And it is not a forum, but a blog.

Thank you! Now, as you may have read in previous discussion here, I am wanting to create a blog so people can freely ask a question and post replies, comments, etc... will this program (wordpress) do the job and how does it do it?

I'm working on such a page at the moment. I'm using the editor that was included in my hosting plan. It's not hard to make a small site with the possibility to make comments to articles. I find it way harder to write good articles and content. It's a lot of work!
