Default Home page pointing at the wrong page...

You were super last time I had a minor problem, and unfortunately I have another one.

The "home" page reverts to the page titled "the service". On the design page in NOF the html page is fine, but the preview also shows "the service" not the home page. Quite odd and rather frustrating. Probably pressed something I ought not to have again, for which apologies in advance.

    Thanks,

    Matt.

    Everything´s fine here.
I follow your link and I end up on your homepage.
And even after clicking through the pages i cannot detect anything wrong.

    Thanks Mia,

Well that's interesting in itself as it is still doing "the service" thing instead of my home page from this end...

Are there any tests I can run, or clean up exercises for instance?

Mmmm, still the same problem. What have I done?

Sorry, to be clear. My home page looks fine in the "page design" tab, the "html" tab appears to relate to the same data, but the "preview" tab shows another page altogether, one called "the service".

The website live does not show the home page at all, but defaults to the page called "the service". I have obviously fouled something up my end, but I can't for the life of me work out what it is.

    Well,
with my laptop I cannot reach your Home page neither now.
I always end up on your page Service.

But what puzzles me more than anything:
If I use my iPad and follow your link, I end up on your Home page alright.
    How could that be?

Well I can get weirder than that!

If I click the link I get the services page and the service nav button is depressed and the footer links show that the services page has been visited.

If I change the url from /html/the_service.html to /html/home.html I get a strange search box appear "Other things to try". I did that in error and should have changed the url to /home.html, so I did and I get the same page. Change it to index.html and you get services again.

@Matt - I suggest you create a template of the entire site and either post it up here for all to see or pick someone from the responders and PM them so your files can be interrogated.

Wouldn't it be great if there was only a single browser to worry about!!!

Doing a standard export/import might clean it up (cleans up a lot of wierd things)

Import using a DIFFERENT name from the site project original name to avoid over writing everything.

Just a thought - do you have two pages using the same name? Check in Site View and click on your home page and look in the properties panel, do the same for services.
