Default All that work and MLR tabs not working on other computers...

Well, I spent countless hours making sure that my tabs had a specific BG color AND that they would change color on rollover etc.
I finally published the site, yey!! Unfortunaly, on my laptop and my husbands computer, they don't react. That's not good, you can't even tell they're tabs, the just show the text, the average navigator would'nt even realise.
Anyway, is this a setting issue on individual computers? Like a java problem that I have to worry about. Does anybody know how to work around this so I don't lose customers?
    Thanks for any advice,
    RG

    RG,

Yup, they are a nice idea but extremely clumsily implementation by NOF. Tried them a few times but found the customisation laughable so abandoned them. If you really need them, try looking at Linkno's offering - authors of AWM (All Web Menus)

Wouldn't it be great if there was only a single browser to worry about!!!

I think the MLR´s are not as bad as their reputation.
You can change everything to your liking as well.
You do it straight in Design View > CSS Code.

I would have liked to post a link to a video by paby, our forum admin, but unfortunally her server has problems at the moment and it´s not available.

    @ RG
Why don´t you post a link to your website and we can have a look if it´s working on our systems.

I find them useful and not that hard to work with - one minor drawback is that you can't copy and paste a MLR, it all needs setting up again :-(
My own 'hobby' site uses MLR's in a couple of places -address in my sig.

If you spent a lot of time to set your MLR like you want it to look like and you want to use the same thing in a different page, it does work.
It's not much to it, just a few lines have to be copied into the html.
    Can you wait until tomorrow?
It's pretty late here in Germany, like in UK as well....
I will send a link tomorrow.

... for my opinion this "Multi Layout Region" has still some problems which must be solved.

I found out that my CSS configuration will only show probably if I publish all my pages which include a MLR again and together if I have just published any other of my pages or the whole project. Otherwise the file "MLR.css" is not published correctly.

Go to Assets View and find MLR.css.

    Set it to Always Publish.

This will prevent the MLR problems you get when you publish other pages in your site.

At least it works for me. ;-)

Hey guys! I know it's a little late, but I got caught up at work Just wanted to let you know that Thomas was right in my case! I can't believe I came back to check the reponse and had such great luck, I totally thought I was going to have to revert to "default" MLR tabs AND spend a day trying to figure it out, but in 10 minutes all my work showed up on all 3 computers.
I published the 3 pages I was concerned about, all together, and they showed up how I intended! I hope I'm not jumpin' the gun, hopefully this is across the board, so I'll check with my friends too.
Anyway, if you really want to see my mundane work, here it is: http://www.twodogsandapig.com
The pages in question were- how to order, photo tips, and contact the artist. These have the tab top MLR's.

Got my fingers crossed, thanks again everyone, you rock!
