Shopping Cart Recommendations

Can anyone recommend a shopping cart with high volume capability that can be used for clothing and footwear as well as food items that can be integrated with NOF 11? It needs to cater for multiple size, colour and other variations including multiple currencies for each stock item.

Each engine is different. Each engine has it's advantages and disadvantages. If you would like to sell digital content (for instance then First Gate is a good choice. Kurant also allows digital content for sale. Each would provide space for your digital products. A simple solution for accepting payment via the web would be paypal. Mals-ecommerce is a great solution for a great price, free. If you have a 1&1 hosting account, then the 1&1 cart is a simple streamlined solution. Quick Commerce is great if you have a non-realtime credit card processing machine (such as a retail storefront would have) as you can accept contact information and contact your customers personally. Quick Commerce pro is secure which allows for accepting credit cards (again in non-realtime). Shoppro is very flexible but would require knowledge of coding as it requires manual editing for it's use and implementation.

I am such a dork and still on Net objects e-commerce shopping cart. It's so time consuming and it crashes now all the time. Quick commerce sounds like it's right for us, but how do you combine 11 and the shopping cart? Do you keep your first page and then link the shopping cart and add your headers and logo to the cart?

I use Mal's Ecommerce linked to PayPal Payments Standard.

Each 'buy now' or 'add tp cart' button has the parameters for mal's coded into the link :-

and that is passed to PayPal when the buyer hits 'checkout'.

P.P.Standard takes the buyer to the PayPal site, but you can customize the page with your own colors/logo etc.

If you use PayPal Payments Pro, the payment page appears in your own website - but you pay extra for that.

Thanks a lot, what I would like is a Shopping cart flexible but without SQL usage and without installation of software on the Hiosting server, like the one on NFXII but with more advanced features... Is There something like that available?

You will find that all carts will use a database of some sort.

If you do not wish to use a database you can use the Fusion form tools to create your own store. This would be good for a limited number of items.
