    Default Open existing website

I'm totally new at this. I just installed NetObjects Fusion Essentials and was hoping to use it to edit an existing website hosted on GoDaddy. How do I open the existing website in NetObjects and work with it? Is it even possible?

    Thanks, Mike

Not really possible unfortunately, at least not very well. You are better off reconstructing it within NetObjects. You can of course copy/paste text across, but ensure you paste in NetObjects using EDIT>PASTE SPECIAL>UNFORMATTED TEXT. You can set the paste default in the same area.

Thanks for the response Andrew. It wasn't what I had hoped for but there you go. I guess I will have to learn to build a new website, but then my question will be how do I replace the existing stuff with what I have built?? Thanks, Mike

    Hello Moondance

you mean you want to replace your old website (GoDaddy) with the new one built in NOF?

You need to get yourself a file transfer programm like FileZilla, log in into your webspace and delete the old files you don't need anymore. Beware not to delete anything which your new website is still linking to (external links), if you don't have the files on your PC.

Once your webspace is clean, you can use your built-in publishing funktions. You will find the settings in publish view.
