Just copy the file from the backup folder to the site project folder and click on it to open. All assets should be linked once again

Ok I now have 3 backup files and dont know which one to copy. site.backup191 that has the date of 10/24 (my changes were done on the 22nd but those were not saved)
then there are 2 with todays date and time
site.backup190-backup191 and
site.backup190-backup1192
I had worked on the site yesterday adding back all the stuff that disappeared when it crashed and just closed it down before
I also dont see which is the site project folder to copy this to
and do I just copy on the folder name and paste it into the site project folder name once I find out where that is?
You should probably stop.
Go over this tutorial to find out where Fusion keeps its folders and what the names of the folders are: http://www.gotfusion.com/tutorials/tut.cfm?itemID=4028
Re-read the tutorial on how to work with backup files: http://www.gotfusion.com/tutorials/tut.cfm?itemID=4035
You may need to use pencil and paper to make notes as most file names are going to be similar and if you have opened and closed a number of files you are going to have a mess to sort out to find your "original backup file"
NOW the important part.
Once you get sorted out. Once you have your site in the proper folder. Once all images appear as they should. BEFORE you type a single letter or make a single change/edit.........
STOP.....
Export the NON-updated backup to template (append today's date to it) http://www.gotfusion.com/tutorials/tut.cfm?itemID=16
Exporting to template is the single most important feature of this program you can use. It creates a complete snapshot of your site project at the time you click the mouse to export. ANYTIME in the future if your site gets scrambled up, you can IMPORT the template and have your site back to the point it was at when you made the export. Importing a template takes just a few seconds. If you don't have a good current template you can spend days..... weeks.... months... getting your site back into Fusion, not the seconds it takes with a template.

you're being very patient with me but I dont know which is the site project folder that you said to copy the backup into
Fusion should have installed the user sites folder under \username\Documents\NetObjects Fusion11\
Project files are located in a folder called User Sites within that NetObjects Fusion 11 folder
Each site project will have its own name (you gave your project a name when you started it)
The folder that holds your site project file is where you want to place your back up.
There should only be 1 file and several other folders in that folder and it will be name.nod (where "name" is the actual name of your project and should be the same as the name of the folder that it is within).
To help you try this.
Open windows explorer and navigate to the folder that is named User Sites
Open Fusion 11 and start a new site project (call it New Project so you can find it easily). Now close Fusion
Refresh windows explorer and you should see a folder called New Project. In that folder should be a single file called New Project.nod
Now find your project folder which should be somewhere in the User Sites folder. Open it and look for your original ?????.nod file. Move your backup file into that folder using windows explorer. Then just click on the file and Fusion will open and load that project file.

Ok sorry wasn't able to get to it till now. This is not working. Is there a way I could get someone to come into my computer to help me move this into the right place. Do you do that? and if so how much would you charge for this.It probably wouldn't take more than 5 or 10 minutes but there is something I'm not getting
Its so confusing I tried moving the folder and nothing seems to be working , I think I really need professional help
Take a deep breath..... then watch this video

ok deep breath taken.
I attached screen shots to show you what I get.
The smaller list is after I click on my site name, the second one is after I click on backups.
there are no files that seem to have .nod after the word backup and I tried to moving the latest file into my site.. the one that keeps adding backup and numbers to it but.no dice
The backups of your original file will be projectName-backupxxx (where projectName is the actual name and xxx is a sequential number). The files that have backupxxx-backupxxx are backups of the backup file you moved.
You may not see the nod file extensions if you have windows set to hide known file extensions (this is the default).
It might be quicker for you to just relink all of your missing assets rather than keep fighting with backups.
This tutorial will go over how to verify and relink missing assets
