One thing to note as well, not all galleries in jAlbum are Flash-based at all, and therefore aren't a problem on devices that don't display them. To test when looking at the demo, just right click on the images and gallery parts and if you see no mention of Adobe or Flash, you should be right.

I don't think anyone mentioned http://visuallightbox.com/ yet either which is also not Flash-based, but you have to pay for that software.

You would do well to look for actual real estate gallery apps, IMO.
Reinventing the wheel to get a good, professional looking gallery is really
difficult unless you're a prolific coder with a full understanding of what
it is that you want. Or at least copy (form, not content/code) an exising
real estate site for the pieces you want. It's easy to look amateurish with
    these things.
I have to wonder, with up to 300 galleries needed, why you would be
hesitant to purchase an app meant for the purpose. I'm also wondering if you
actually mean "gallery", to be honest. An operation your size shouldn't miss
the cost of a pro app for what you want. IMO anyway. Trying to think outside
the box is always a good route, too.

Paul; if it can be happy with HTML, it can be happy with NOF. If your server
can handle what you throw at it, you should be kewl to go.

I use Showzam, basically it gives so many great options, detailed description for each photo etc, I have quite a few galleries in I Frames http://www.tulakhounds.co.uk/html/_albums.html click on Dog Details to see the kind of detail it can show.

    Mia,

I see "Language" is changing again.

In English, the convention is to use e.g. for "for example" (from the
    Latin phrase "exempli gratia").

    Keith,

language is always changing, never static....
Otherwise we would be still communicating in the language of Homo Sapiens from ages ago....

Sorry, if I was too arbitrary. I thought this short term was right and common.
I hope you will forgive me since I´m not a native speaker, my first language is German.
Well, next time I will dig out my Latin..... had it for 5 years in school....

    Mia,

As we age things change right under us and some, like me, like to poke
fun at the innovations in language. I knew English wasn't your first
language, but I can't help myself sometimes when I see how short forms
of a language (like text messaging) begin to creep into the written and
oral standards. So now I'll GIAR and GBTW. Or, in German, BBB & TABU.
