Have you installed Update 1 to 11?
You may not be able to open the site file because of that reason alone.
What happens exactly, when you try to open the site?

If the update is not applied, and you last saved the site in Fusion 11 (with upgrade 1 applied) then it won't open. So apply the upgrade 1st. It would be useful to know the error that you are seeing when you try to open if its not the upgrade issue.
As Christopher stated, you will want to make sure your on the latest patch for NetObjects Fusion. You can download and install the latest patch via tools > check for updates (within the program) or from our website:Originally Posted by danu146

After updating, try to open your site.
Also, by backup, do you mean a template or a backup of the nod file? If the latter, did you save your Assets and Styles folders?
