    Default Contact Managment script

Wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a Contact Management script for a website I'm going to be doing. It'll be for members of the organization to access contact info, and will be used for fund-raising and marketing (It's a non-profit). They will likely want the ability to add notes, eg. which events have they supported in the past, etc.

I've started Googling, and, as usual, there's a million out there. Hoping I can get a personal recommendation from experience...

    Thanks,

Paul uses this one. It looks to be nice and simple.

Cushy is another simple CMS system that has been discussed in the past

I have been rolling my own dynamic sites for so long that I am out of the loop on some of the new offerings on the market and have to rely on what others have said their experience is.

    Funny guy

I'm looking for a CONTACT manager, not content. For storing Name, address, phone number, favorite hair care product, etc. with secure login for access.

They want to be able to have volunteers able to access it from the web site for making calls and doing mailouts.

Hey, what's a little semantical misunderstanding between friends

What is being used for your web email interface. If you have smartermail all of this is available as part of that mailserver package (it can be shared around between all users on the same domain easily too).

Hey, Ray. Did you ever find an acceptable solution?

I too, now have a need; and you're right - what's out there is abundant, and so far, useless.

Yes, I found two contenders, both commercial but both look good and seem legit.

At the more basic (and less $$) level is: eSoftPro. $25.
Nice basic feature set, including a PDA/Smartphone view. No login or multiple users, but we all know how to set that up anyway.

    Product inquiry response: 3 days

A more advanced (and more $$) is WebAsyst. $129.
It is part of an integrated suite of web applications. It is either a downloadable script or a hosted solution, and they have a free minimal hosted account to be able to check it out. The Contact Manager has options to include photos and you can add custom fields.

Product inquiry response: 5 hours (on a Sunday)

I pitched pros/cons of each to the client, and they've picked the simpler Esoft Pro solution, although I still need to set up their hosting so haven't purchased yet.
