    Default Newer standard font choices

Does v.12 have an updated list of font families to choose from - for styles?

For example, when I type in Calibri as the font to use, it's not rendered in the style.

Matter of fact, I have another big question about CSS but I think maybe I should post in v.11 forum.

    Thanks!

    As I understand -

browsers render depending on the fonts installed on the users system. Just
because you may have installed a font on your system and a web page renders
ok, it does not mean it will render with the same font on the users system
if that specific font is not installed. There is normally a number of
default fonts that a page or browser will work down until it finds one that
is installed on the rendering system.

One of the few ways to use a non standard font is to create a graphic image
of the page using the non standard font and place it on the page as an
image. Great in principle but not so good for the search engines. It's much
the same problem as there is with some flash web sites. Search engines just
can't the text so the sites just seem empty.

Thanks Ian, but I was referring to the choices offered within NetObjects. When customizing my own style, I can choose from the list of typeface families (IN NOF) or type in a font that I'd like to use (web safe for the most part). I typed in Calibri, which I have, but NOF didn't let me use it - didn't show up.

I know that embedding fonts via CSS3 and the @font-face selector would allow me to use a greater variety of fonts even though my visitors don't have them on their computer, but I didn't do it with the website I'm referring to... which makes me wonder, although a different forum question... think I'll start a new thread.

    Thanks again Ian,

Kitty, I agree with Ian, & would add: I've heard on various occasions to
stick with Arial & Veranda if at all possible. More so for any sites
    suppporting low vision users.

Thanks Jim... guess I'm not making any sense or just not describing my question very well.

    I appreciate your responses.
