    Default What about @font-face? Code within NOF?

    I just posted a similar question about font family choices within NOF, which made me think of this.

    If I put the @font-face code in NOF and upload font to my server, I'd probably only see it when I do a local publish/preview, yes? or will I see it within NOF as I'm working?

    Guess I could test it myself, but it's always helpful to see if anyone else has tried it.

    Thanks!

    Kitty,

    It's all BROWSER specific. The @font-face is CSS3. I personally don't use any CSS3 at all as it's still too new and as each browser manufacturer has their own rules it seems pointless to me. For example:-

    Internet Explorer only supports EOT, Mozilla browsers support OTF and TTF, Safari and Opera support OTF, TTF and SVG and Chrome supports TTF and SVG.

    To get all browsers to work as designed you will have to add multiple/alternative fonts into your CSS. E.g.:-
    Code:
    @font-face {
         font-family: 'Somefancyfont;
         src: url('Somefancyfont-webfont.eot);
         src: local(‚ò∫'),
             url('Somefancyfont-webfont.woff') format('woff'),
             url('Somefancyfont-webfont.ttf') format('truetype'),
             url('Somefancyfont-webfont.svg#webfont') format('svg');
    font-weight: normal;
    font-style: normal;
    }
    Don't you just hate browser incompatibility!!!

    Wouldn't it be great if there was only a single browser to worry about!!!

    ... and don't forget mobile devices!

    Ya, I'm leary to use them myself. Just not ready to trust that they will look good to everyone, on every browser.
    Guess it's a moot point regarding how it would play out within NOF.
