Default publishing directory entered is invalid or can't be created

Following a recent computer upgrade, tried to publish website with changes and got the above message. I am a novice and don't know how to correct this error. Any help out there?

You should be able to get this from your web host. As a guess I would suggest either public_html, www, or wwwroot but it would be best to ask your host as they are the only ones who can give you the right answer.

What ever they tell you goes in the directory box on your remote publish profile.

I assume server supplier, site name, structure etc. are all the same, you
use NOF11 on XP Pro and are at SP3, right?

Have you tried publshing the OLD (preceding, pre-changes) web site and does
it work? At least that would tell you if you borked something or your
computer setup has a problem. You did fill in the ftp information properly
    for NOF, right?

You'd probably get a better response if you included some more details; you
provded very little to work with so assumptions have to be made. Suggest you
    repost with needed data.
