    Default HTML W3C Validator

    Hi
    NOF XII generates HTML automatically.
But when I test my website in W3C Validate service it says 5 errors. And I don't know how to fix them.
I can't change them in the website as the code appears in grey, and grey is no changeable code.
I used a FTP program to look at all my uploaded files to try to find the file with the code to try to change it or replace it but I cant find it.
Any ideas on how to fix these HTML errors?

Don't worry about it? The errors can cause crawlers to blow past your website. Fixing them is good due diligence and should be
something we can do. I can't get anywhere with fixing the syntax errors. Does anyone know how to edit the html code
that is protected in Fusion 12 ?

Use notepad and you can do a much better job. The site might be a bit boaring but it will validate.

Now, I am not saying I am a genius or anything, but my experience shows that

    1. Any site I have done in 11 or 12 validates correctly
    2. Any site where I use a combination of NOF & 4D Site designer validates correctly.

The sites I get that do not validate coprrectly are sites where

    1. I have used an old NOF template.
    2. I site where I have used some external javascript, such as a bit from Dynamic Drive and similar.

    Hi David-

I built the site without any templates (blank) and do not use any java script.
Most of the errors are stemming from NOF protected code.

So, throw NOF CD in the garbage can and use notepad from now on.
Wonder how the German owners would feel about their product be of lesser
    value than MS Notepad.

Fusion is a code generator. It writes the code based on the doctype you have selected. You can try changing your doctype, generate all pages and run it through again.

If you change any of the code the product creates, it will just overwrite your changes the next time you hit the publish button and you will be right back where you were before you started.

If you are not happy with the code the program writes. Make 1 full site generation of all pages, turn the software off and don't use it again. Open notepad and make all of the edits you want. Just understand that once you do this you are done using Fusion on this website. Any and all additions/edits/corrections will have to be made manually on a character by character basis using an editor of your choice.

    Hi Mike,

I was addressing Myna, but will engage with you as well.

Myna's site, http://www.crsupportservices.co.uk/, does use a script as it has right click disabled. That meant I was unable to see the code causing the error unless I downloaded the site, which I can't be bothered doing.

Mike, from all my experience from NOF 7 on, problems are all caused by using something external to NOF.

Do you have a link to your site(s) I can see?

    {As an aside, I don't know whey people bother with these scripts. If I can see it on my screen, I can download it. HTTtrack works quite well}
