Default XII Upgrade poses problem - Copy of Copy, etc.

Had XII installed, added new update. Issues are I get the prompt "file created in older version, not backward compatible, etc." accept. Renames my file to copy of "x". Go in make edits to one page of a website. Publish but new edits will not publish. Go to open file and get same prompt like the file was never updated to latest update and now wants to name it "copy of copy of "x"." Has anyone experienced this? I cannot open it without accepting and then it just goes on the same way. Not sure I should have ever updated to this first update for XII. Any ideas what is going on?

No idea,, but perhaps try the following:

Open the site as you described, create a template of the site, open the site from template. Does it work now?

When asked if you want to make a copy, just say no. Your original site will be opened in XII Update 1 and you'll be fine.
