Default Guest book Expanding Page Too Far

    Hi,
I have a guestbook. Now that there are some entries, it seems they don't
'wrap', and push the whole layout area way far out to the right. Is there a
    way to fix this?

    Thanks a lot,
    Tom

    Hi Tom

I used the guestbook in a site a while back - I seem to recall that
there's a bug in the php code <g>

From memory - it was necessary to go into the Admin screen and hand-edit
line-feeds back in to correct the layout...

The Guestbook itself is wide open to spammers - I spent some time
building some anti-spam checks into the code - if you don;t then you'll
soon find that your Guestbook is full of adverts of porn and viagra.

If you aren't expecting thousands of entries, you'd be better accepting
the comments as emails and pasting them manually into a 'guestbook' page

    Hi,

this happens always if somebody copy and paste his text from MS-Word or similar, so you will get some control code in your text. Just edit with your admin page - or better - edit the CSV file directly (to keep the date and time).

We have created a "Spam-Filter" for the NOF guestbook which is very effective. Just have a look here:

... you may test it at my guestbook page:

Thanks you two. I just wiped out the guestbook, and added a form. With each
submission, I'll copy/paste into the table I have for comments.

    HI Tom

    Probably easiest! <g>

I think I remember now - the act of editing 'anything' in the
submitted guestbook info caused the original line-wraps to be
thrown away - and you ended up with the format of the html page
    destroyed.

In our case, we needed to moderate the guestbook entries anyway -
so following your 'form' solution would have been just as quick.

Expect to get a good amount of spam through your form ...<g>

    Thanks again.
So the captcha doesn't really work then?
    Just wondering,
