Default NOF 12 - Don't upgrade until the first patch is out

I'm naturally an early adopter. I was so excited to learn that there
was still life in NOF and that a new version NOFXII (NOF12) had been
    launched.

My advice to potential upgraders... don't upgrade your existing NOF
until the first update patch is available for NOFXII (NOF12).

My guess is that patch is probably 2+ months off. I don't know as NOF
don't release dates on upcoming patches, so your guess is as good as mine.

The key issue is that there is a fundamental "known" bug that turns the
transparent images typically used in the templates black. This is such
a critical issue for me that I have rolled back to NOF11.

The good news is overall NOFXII (NOF12) works in a Windows 7 64 bit
environment and appears more stable. Its not much different form NOF11.
I understand a lot of work has been done under the hood.

I for one am eagerly awaiting the first patch for NOFXII (NOF12).

If you like the product and want to support the efforts of the company and intend on purchasing the new product you might as well purchase it NOW so that NetO has the financial stream to continue developing the product further.

There is no reason why you can't make an early purchase and sit on the product if you find it has issues with the way you work. Most users have no need for image transparency in auto-generated graphics and can easily work with standard gif, jpg, or png file types (without transparency support)

It is counter productive to praise a product then tell people to stay away from it. Support the efforts of the company through your purchases if you want to see it stick around. Even with a couple of bruises and scratches it is still one of the best buys in HTML authoring software on the market today (in my personal opinion)
NetObjects Fusion Cloud Linux enabled Web Hosting, support + training starts at $14.95

I would have to agree, and I am a novice. I really like NOF 12.

If anyone will be waiting on Fusion 12's Update, before purchasing,
using or Updating to Fusion 12...

It's akin to waiting until Hell, Michigan freezes over.

It took Fusion 11 almost a year to get it's one and only Update/Patch --
and Fusion 11 needs a bit more, IMHO...

There's every likelihood that Fusion 12 could wait up to a year or more
    for it's first Update/Patch.

So far, Fusion 12 has acquitted itself much better than Fusion 11 did or
    has.

I agree but would Still wait.

The Fusion team surprised me in version 11 thus far not crippling my website (Overly) and I am very enthusiastic about version 12.0

In My opinion this software has the greatest potential on the market and is also the most neglected, they still have issues un-addressed now for over a decade, and yet oddly enough I am still with them.

I also have a "Dream - Girl" so I am not exactly the most stable minded individual around.

But I will be asking whether old favorites like the self destruct that triggers when you re-optimize and run out of HD space - will ever be addressed with a simple error trapping routine! (very sad.)
