Default End The Pricing Rip Off Was $9.95, now $17.35

    Here we go AGAIN!

Just popped in to design store to see if there was a template to help with a quick project I need to do. All templates are $9.95. Well, they are if you're in US. I'm in NZ, which NO thinks is Aus, so they want to charge me AUD$17.35.

Looked at the exchange rate lately? US$9.95 is is currently AUD$9.30!!

Way to support your paying customers, NO.

Netobjects uses a 3rd party for this. Take it up with them.

Neto sets the price in USD. The 3rd party takes it from there.

Probably a currency conversion cost to them.

I have to assume that if NetObjects is selling through an agent that the agent is getting the product at a discount from them.

This only makes the markup for the agent more ridiculous.

Check out the competition. They don't charge over the odds for international electronic sales.

Seems to me that the agent is making by far the most out of this arrangement.

The pricing policy is a definite turnoff.

    chuckj, that's rubbish.

NO is the seller, they advertise a product at US$9.95 which converts to AU$9.30 at today's exchange rate. That's a hell of a currency conversion cost, that is an US$8.58 currency conversion cost. Please tell me you are joking.

In fact, I suspect that this constitutes false advertising or bait and switch.

I think it's a rip off too when they make a "new version" that only fixes bugs. That's a patch not a new version we should pay for!
