The new update has messed up my menu and has crashed countless times today...I'm going to upgrade from Vista to Windows 7 and see if that works. After that I suppose I toss weeks worth of work and go find a better program or better yet, hire somebody to do this.

Hmm. Other than the new alt tag bug, I've found the update to be way
more stable than the original release of XII.

Can't comment on the menus, since I've used AWM for years.

The Ad Banner component worked fine before the update but now I can't get it to work after publishing locally or remotely. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Anyone have a fix for it?

    Hello NOF Community,
I am new to this community. I bought NOF XII to build a very simple website to sell e-books.Please is there any representative / agent in this our locality that can work me through as I want to be fully involved in building the site so that I can control the site. I live here in Riverdale, in Prince George’s county of Maryland USA.
Eagerly waiting for your prompt reply.
    Thanks.

    Unhappy Lost Text Over Picture

    Hi

I had numerous stability problems with version XII (Running on Windows 7 with 1.5GB DRAM), but persisted as I did not want to rebuild using another application environment.

My site was created in Fusion XI then using Template Export was moved to Version XII.

I recently updated to the latest release, now I have lost text over pictures that was previously there and I cannot repair. I cannot now add text over pictures. I add the picture, I bring up the properties box and enter and format the text. It looks fine in the design screen.

When I Preview the text is not present. If I publish, the text is not present.

This did not occur with the original version of Fusion X11. This is annoying.

    Any ideas?

Have been using the updated version of NOF V12 now for a couple of weeks and haven't had any issues thus far. Everything seems to be working just fine.

I have tried this with a site exported from 11 into 12 and I get text on image. Tried it with a new site built in 12 and I get text on image. Found a few other issues I need to do a bug report on but this feature works for me in 12 with the update applied.

Can you make a 1 page test site (started fresh in 12) and see if you get text on image?

What version number is showing for you?

Two additional problems have turned up for me:

    1) Setting Auto-Generated Image Output for the three graphic image types
in the Application Options to 'Not optimized' is useless. Even though
the Optimize | Settings field in the Picture Properties palette now
defaults to 'Application Default', the images are still treated as
auto-gen. That means they're published in Assets\Images\Autogen and the
page html doesn't find them. You have to explicitly specify 'Not
optimized' for each image you add to the page. (ticket filed)

    2) I'm having to re-establish links on every page I've brought forward
from XII to XII patch 1. These are both internal and external links. I
haven't republished enough pages yet to know if it's every link that's
broken or only some of them. (ticket to be filed shortly)

OTOH, XII patch 1 isn't crashing the way XII had started to do.

I installed the patch and starting having some problems, so uninstalled it. I think what happened was NOF wouldn't even start.

STRONGLY apparent that the next Update #2 for Fusion XII / 12 needs to
be written, tested and made available -- and SOON.

Even after Update #1, Fusion 12 is still bereft of too many problems,
acute code failures, components that clearly do not work right, etc.

    Just a reminder.
