Thread: Is Netobjects 12 Upgrade W3C Compliant?

  1. #1

Question Is Netobjects 12 Upgrade W3C Compliant?

There has been some discussion in the forums regarding the compatibility of the Netobjects 12 Update with Windows Explorer 8 and 9. The basic question that would address all of these posts, it seems, is whether the Netobjects 12 Update is W3C Compliant. Anyone know? Should we include a "note" on websites we develop for viewers to set Windows Explorer to Compatibility Mode?

No one knows the answer to this question? I was thinking that this is a basic question and everyone knew the answer except me. No one knows?

I answered yesterday, but the post doesn't seem to have appeared.

Have you searched the forums? ISTR a recent post that said NOF 12
produces compliant code when you publish as XHTML.

Thank you Allison Moore. Anyone know if there are any issues publishing as XHTML compared, say, to HTML 4.01 with tables? For those of you publishing as XHTML, any problems that you can tie to using XHTML? Thanks. Seems as though these are the kinds of issues that ought to be resolved at the beginning of any project.

They sure are! I'd just go test a page or two at a relevant testing site. My
suspicions anyway. Then you have the changes in some end tags having been
deprecated I think (</br> for <br> for example, and several others. There
are quite a few adjustments to make but I'm still fumbling through them. So
far I have never had any NOF page completely pass for compliance the first
time through. Test it & see.
