    Default Dynamically generate page titles

I like to generate page titles dynamically based on data content from database. I did this in NOF7
I insert code in the header to do this. I see NOFx12 titles cant be removed - they are protected. How to get around this? Otherwise I will have two sets of titles - <title> Any ideas.

By the way is there a post publish code tweeker that used to be around for the old versions?

    Thanks

You change the title in Site View in the page's properties. To something including code if you wish.

You don't need to remove it.

    Thanks - that works

How do I remove the generated code:

    <meta name="Generator" content="NetObjects (http://netobjects.com)">

This gives a link to Netobjects in every page.

    Thanks

    Site View

3rd tab of the properties palette

Select Generator from the drop down choice

    Delete the Neto line

Sorry not working for me. I go to site view and get a chart of pages. I hit F3 and it brings up property pallet for a page only
How do I bring up this properties palette with 3 tabs on it? Thanks I have used NOF7 for years and not finding this easy to follow

It seems that there is no global way to remove the generator meta tag, however, when you remove it on one page, you will notice that the tag that you set in the drop down remains when you do page changes so you can change and delete. I know that this is not the best way, but, it might be better than post tweaking as it would have to done every time that you publish.

    go to site view

Hold your shift key and mouse click on the Home page (to select all pages)

On the Page properties palette select the 3rd tab (meta tags)

From the drop down select the Generator tag

Delete the line that says Neto with the URL

The generator metatag is not a "link" to NetObjects.

It merely says the name of the program used to generate the pages.

And, as you've been told, it's easy to remove in Site View.

Hi, I am trying to remove the meta tag <title> as I have my own title tags. How do you remove the title meta tag?

    Thanks,
    Cindy
