Default Publish to flat directory - website root directory

I notice NOF 12 puts index page to the root directory then everything else to /html I just want webpages to go to the website root directory - not sub directories. The assets are ok in a subdirctory. How do I configure that. eg I want http://mywebsite/mypage.cfm not http://mywebsite/html/mypage.cfm I also prefer to ftp not do remote publish. Publish local then ftp

    Thanks

This has been requested many times but don't count on it happening. However, there is a way to move the pages to where you want them. In Publish View, set it to Arrange Files By Asset Type. Then while still in Publish View, double-click to open the HTML folder, Shift-click to highlight all the html files, right-click and CUT all those pages (don't be afraid... maybe try with a test page first just so you'll feel better about it,) click the Up-Arrow that moves you back up one folder, and then right-click and PASTE. And publish.

What is it exactly that you want to do?

The product can do anything you want it to do.

The publish methods have not changed since the product was introduced back in 1996

I've been using NOF since v5. I thought it has worked like this at least
    since v5.

BTW, how is it unprofessional from an SEO viewpoint? I publish our site
By Asset Type, and we do very well on our SEO placement.

Personally, I find it way easier to manage the site with the asset type
subfolders, but that may not work for everyone.

    Default Publixh to root directory

Please refer to my originatl posting. I want all pages to go to the web root directory. NOF puts the index in the root directory then links to pages in /html subdirectory

I want all my pages to be in root directory
    eg

    http://www.mywebsite/index.cfm
    http://www.mywebsite/about_us.cfm
    http://www.mywebsite/contact.cfm

    thanks

Switch to Publish View. Under the Publish menu, select Arrange Files > by Flat.

Doesn't that do what you want?
