    Default rollover issue

I am trying to get an object to appear when you roll over it with a mouse. So far all I can do is make it disappear; I can't get one to either come back initiate that way.

are you using a component or actions?

I have since solved my initial problem by using a second object to trigger the action. But what I was trying to do is make an object transparent so I could use it to trigger an action from a roll on. I am using "objects" and the "action" tab. I guess the real problem is how do I make an object transparent. The properties panel only has colors as the fill option.

Try the Picture Rollover component. You can set different images for Initial, MouseOver and MouseOff, and assign a link or an action. 'Seasy.

Thanks, I think I've got that now. The last thing I am struggling with is how to surreptitiously designate a specific, delineated part of the layout area that looks like the background but actually contains something (like a transparent object or picture) that triggers another object to "show". Essentially it is an unexpected pop-up. Any ideas?

Create a transparent GIF the size that you want, and place it on the page.

Excellent. That was exactly what I needed, and so elegantly simple. Thanks.
