Default NetObjects Fusion XII Update #2

    Hello,

In an abundance of caution, we have temporarily pulled AU2 as we investigate an issue some users are experiencing with the Online view on installation.

    Thanks for your patience.

Thanks for posting that, Adam. I'm downloading it now.

Is anyone else having a problem with update #2? This is the first time I have had a problem with an update install.

    wtpooh55,

What operating system are you running?

What version of Internet Explorer is installed (e.g. 8, 9)?

Sorry about that Steve, guess that would help.

Windows XP Pro, Version 2002, Service Pack 3. Internet Explorer 8.0.6001.18702.

Like I said Steve, I've never had a problem with an install for as long as I can remember, way before MX. And this install went through completely without a hiccup. Just have to click through the script errors 5 or 6 times before opening and then the front page of NOF is blank.

    Thanks for your help,

    David B.

Try uninstalling Fusion, reboot, install the retail release, then install update #2 (without update #1)

See if this clears up your error/issue

    Mike,

That was going to be my next step. So update #2 will include the changes in update #1? I don't kknow why I was thinking that with NOF they didn't. It's been a long week already...so I am not really sure what I am thinking.

    I'll give it a shot!

    Thanks

    Well,

Uninstalling and reinstalling and omitting update #1 seemed to work. I would really hope that if there are future updates, I won't have to go through this. But....gotta do what you gotta do...right?

    :-)

This also implies we should protect our User Sites, just in case the
    re-install ruins something.

Also, this implies that we will have to re-download and re-apply any
Styles and possibly images that have been updated or download when NOF
12 or NOF 12 Update #1 was in use.

We sincerely appreciate the "fix Update #2" offer of what seems to work,
but this method could well be fraught with more dangers than not.

Proceed carefully after backing up everything User-site wise would seem
    to be a needed recommendation.

It's a waste of time we busy users should never have had to deal with.

Again...none of this re-install and re-apply BS should have been
    needed...period.

I would like to apologize for my panic, there is a method that I can get those fields back, if I make the table not be a form and then make back into a form the missing fields in the property pallette will reappear, however all the hidden fields will have to be re-entered.

This also works if your Layout Region is a form or a text box is a form.

It would have been nice if update 2 had made the process automatic so one does not have to go through 30+ sites and fix all the forms one by one.

90% of my sites are imports from NOF 11 the other 10% are made with NOF 12 so I will be spending the next few days or so fixing all of them.
