    Default Preview v Local publish

I am just building a new site. My own current site works fine in both preview and publish, local or remote. The new one I am trying to build looks fine in design, fine in Local publish but all over the place in preview.

The only settings that work in publish are with the "Centre in Browser" ticked and "Fixed page layout".

I have used the html div/center setting at body and /div at the bottom of body. I also have the background as a centered image. Same as my existing site. However, if I click on Preview the background is correct but everything else seems off the page to the right. If I publish, it's fine.

    Any ideas?

    Denis.

Anyone?, or I'll have to jump ship and look for another program.

    I never use Preview.
And honestly I think this function should be taken out of the program.

The most important thing is if your site looks perfect in Local Publish, because this is what is uploaded onto the server in the end.
To check if the page looks OK in Local Publish takes about the same amount of time as Preview, if you select just the page you are working on.

I never use preview either; it's what it looks like in the browser that
    counts.

OK, thanks anyway. I have used NOF since V5 but mainly for my own site and just a couple of others and have never really got to grips with it anyway. It is just so unstable since I moved over to windows7 though it is almost impossible to use. I guess I'll keep it on the old machine to work with my existing sites and see what else is out there for the 2 new ones I need to build. Sad really as I thought I could use my previous themes that I thought I knew well. Not to be I guess. Oh well.................

OK. I use "Preview" all the time.

And to center pages, I use the "Center Page In Browser" checkbox.

    Am I asking for trouble?
