Thread: centering site

  1. #1

    Default centering site

Can anyone give me a pointer. I built a site using a site style with a lest master border and a top banner. The problem:

    1. I can't use "center in browser" because then I get content moving all over the place.
    2. If I don't use "center in browser" (this is how it is currently) then I get a repeated left border on bigger monitors.
    3. This, and my content layout, leaves me with things looking "uneven" or "squished to the left" is some of the feedback I've gotten.

Does anyone have some simple suggestions on how to "center" each page's content, as well as each page in the viewer's browser?

I'm a novice so any help is appreciated.

    I couple samples are:

    home page
    content sample 1
    content sample 2

    Thanks.

The solution is to find out why things are moving all over the place
when you use center in browser. I suspect it is because you have got
things overlapping, in which case you will have some red exclamation
marks in NOF, warning you that this is so.

If not, it can help to putting your contents into one or more layout
    regions.

Another approach is to copy the page, then delete items one at a time,
publishing between them until it displays correctly - chances are the
last object you deleted was causing the problem.
