Okay, I'm still having problems.
Is there a way for me to change a single page's navigation bar without it changing all the other navigation bars?

The quick dirty answer....
Not if all the pages share the same Master Border. So you will need to duplicate the original into a new master border that is specifically designed for the page(s) in question.
I've done that, but it seems that the software doesn't always keep other pages from changing to the same navigation bar at a specific level in a specific section. The matter seems to be made considerably worse with the "Optimization" feature, which seems to bring everything back to some sort of common level. I know now to not do that, but am beginningt o feel that the best solution is to create a custom navigation bar for each page. Thanks for your input,
Riley
Use different masterborders. This gotFusion tutorial will 'splain it:

I actually resorted to the instructions, but will try the tutorial. I've been using v 7.5 and now Essentials, which appear to be one and the same. Have been doing so for a number of years, but the Nav Bar issue has been a peculiar one. I go back later to look at a specific page and the bar has changed. Maybe I'm getting old and forgetful....
This does raise one question. Is there an upper limit as to how many individual pages or sections that Essentials can handle? I've got 5 major sections, with a total of about 380 pages. Plan on adding new pages as things progress. Can Essentials handle that?
Thanks in advance,
