Thread: Email character allowance will not extend on forms

Default Email character allowance will not extend on forms

    Hi,

I want to extend the email character allowance on my form I currently have set to 30, to 50, as some email addresses do not fit the field when submitted.

Everything looks OK on the back end of the form when making this change. The form publishes correctly, both HTML and Script, (I changed another element on the form to check) but when testing the live form, the character limit is still the original 30.

I have forms on 6 different websites, which are 6 different files. I tried another website file, with the same result, thinking there may be corruption. I also ran the Site Optimizer as this has helped in the past.

This should be a simple amendment, please help!

    Thank you,
    Rachael.

    Hi,

you must not only set the length of the field but also the error-messages - the max. length

just go to the dropdown menu "Field value required" and set the length to max. 50 characters or whatever.

I do not know what's standing there in English (I am German and I have the German NOF version only) - something like "Field value is to long" or so. You must set this value higher.
