Need to update code

I recently updated my website from N.O. 7 to N.O. 11. Everything transfered and uploaded fine except for my cart. I did not build my site, I only know how to maintain it on the basic level. I can see that the codes for that page are different from my old site, but I do not know how to fix it. N.O. support keeps wanting me to export my site as a template and it isnt working I keep getting an error message that says "it isnt a valid NO Fusion file", but I am following their instructions and its still not working. I have reloaded it from N.O. 7 version and the page works, but for some reason my nav buttons are all out of wack even though I made no changes to the site. I am at a loss as to what to do. I cant get N.O. support to call me they just keep telling me to export the site (which wont work). Any help or suggestions are in DIRE NEED!!!

What does "isn't working" mean? What fails, creating/importing the
templates, or what?

I would suggest that you go back to a working backup in your Fusion 7 install and stay there until you can find someone willing to recode your store for you.

If you cannot export the site to template no one can help you as you can't send it to anyone to look at and find the problem.

What is not working is when I export the site as a template. I can view the .zip file in the folder but when I click on it, it tells me that it "isnt a valid Net Objects Fusion File". It seems to have exported fine from my N.O. 7 version, but when I try to open it as a template in my N.O. 11 version is when I get the "not a valid file" error.

I have tried that but when I publish my site my nav buttons will not let me get to my secondary pages. I had not made any changes to my site with my buttons prior to this problem. So even if I did go back to N.O. 7 version my site is even more inaccessible because I cant view my other pages.

How many pages are in your site? If not too many it may be quicker and will certainly be better to rebuild the site from scratch in NoF 11 using the assets from the original site. If you cannot successfully export your site as a template and import it into v11 then this may be your only way forward.

Are you using File; New Site; From Template to get your site out?
It sounds like you are not using that method. It's true, a template is not a
true NOF file - it has to be unzipped, automatically or by you in V11.

Or, since it's a zip file, you could simply unzip it into your User Sites
folder and it should show up under it's name? You should also rename the
site temporarily so you don't overwrite your old site. And be sure to send
the old site to a template too, just in case it gets trashed.

The template.zip file contains everything needed for the site: Assets,
master borders, menus, content, CSS, and so forth. So technically you could
put it anywhere as long as NOF can get hold of it.

I recommend you read the Help on templates; it does a fair job of explaining
things.
