Default reinstalling NOF11 and site opening problem

I have just reinstalled NOF11 after a major hard drive crash and the programme is telling me my sites were built on an earlier version (which they weren’t) and I have to buy the new version (nice for NOF I’m sure). If I do buy NOF12 will my sites open up?
    Thanks for any feedback.

    There's no such message.

Fusion has always allowed you to open a site from an earlier version and it never suggests that you buy a newer version.

Are you sure it isn't telling you your site was created in a newer version of Fusion?

If you haven't already done so, install the latest update to Fusion 11 and see if that helps.

As Chuck has said, check the NetO update site and install the updates.

Thanks to you both. The update seems to have done the trick.
However I now have another problem. I lost all my sites in the hard drive crash, but some were not saved on my removable. So I tried to download them from the web using NOF11.
One of the site paths is http://www.schooner-britannia.com/index.html, but all I get is a single index file for a new site.
    What am I doing wrong?

Fusion is a database program that writes HTML as its "report"

If you did not save the database file, you do not have a site project, only the "report" the site project created.

The only way to back up the Fusion project database (your web site) is to export as a template.

Here are the tutorials that cover exporting and importing the database file back into the software

The time you would invest trying to rebuild the database from the html the program created would be greater than the time it would take you to start a new site project database and copy/paste the text from the live web pages back into the new project.

If you do decide to copy/paste, set the default paste options in Fusion to un-formatted text to avoid corrupting the project database with external formatting code.

I have saved most of my sites as templates, but not the latest one which I gave you the URL for.
So what is the, “import web site on the internet” for, if not for doing just that?

It typically makes a mess of things that takes weeks to sort out and you still end up with a mess.

You are welcome to use it.

Download the site to your computer using an FTP program and use that function on the pages on your computer

It looks like the site you do not have a template for is 12 pages? This should not take longer than a few hours to copy/paste into a new project file (I am being generousness as anyone should be able to copy/paste 12 pages of content and add the images in around 20 minutes or less).
