    I crashed 10 times
    seems to be same reason / not as OP - but the following:
    ONE Master Border per site
    All pages are copy of Home Page

    I make a layout region
    then add a text box
    then go into site view and made 7 copies
    (this so all pages are exact)
    then on home page
    I filled in the text box with TONS of text
    and many links
    it was copy/paste from word 2007

    the crash happened EVERY time I click anywhere in the text box and scroll with my mouse wheel !
    so . . . now = I just search for a word (Ctrl f) to nav the page to make edits

    windows vista 64
    6gb ram

    every recovery has been ok
    but still = PITA

    hope this helps with the debug !

    DON'T ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever past anything but unformatted text into NoF (or any other similar program, for that matter). Office programs bring a whole heap of garbage with them (hidden characters, formatting, etc) which will totally screw your web page.

    NOF-Newbie...

    As any NOF user will likely advise you...for ANY program that performs
    as a web-tool, never, but NEVER copy and paste any text into NOF or
    other web-tools that comes from ANY MS Office product, especially MS
    Word and sometimes Excel.

    The above can wreak havoc in any web-tool.

    To do so is a disaster waiting to happen. Sooner or later, it WILL happen.

    Dear Franko and Dear Joe,

    What gave you the idea that I cut and pasted anything?

    All I did was type 4 consecutive dashes (-) and the program crashes....

    I proved this to be a program bug by opening a virgin blank site and am able to crash it simply by typing the above noted consecutive characters.

    Apparently, others are able to reproduce the failure..

    NOF-Newbie, take a look at the quote in my post I know it wasn't from you, but the quote indicates whom I was answering. I suspect Joe was also but mis-copied the quoted text.

    Import from Template works fine.

    What's up with this?

    Win -7 machine
    3GB memory
    Wow, that is weird. I'll test this internally. In the interim, In a new blank site, does pasting the character string you need from notepad cause the crash?

    Thanks,

    This crashes NOF2013 as well.

    • New, blank site;
    • create text box;
    • type: ---- ;
    • crash.

    Pasting from notepad crashes also.
