Question Netobjects v12 will not open existing netobjects site

I just purchased, downloaded and installed netobjects fusion v12. I have an existing local site (which is also published to a remote location) that I had been maintaining with a temporary installation of NO Fusion v 12..however when I now try to open that site, I get a message saying that the site had been created with a later version of NO Fusion. This cannot be possible, I think, since I just downloaded and installed the latest version. It is vital that i am able to open this site to maintain and publish it.
I am an experienced computer user with VB and SQL programming background, but am a relative newbie to website maintenance.

Grateful for any guidance on how to open this existing site.

Have you applied updates yet to the version you just installed?

Did you export the current site in a template? And did you try to import the template into NOF 12?

Thanks for the advice. When I ahd first opened the program, it had not prompted me for updates...but after reading your response...when I then reopened NOF, I was prompted to intall updates. After doing that, I was able to open the site. Thanks for the advice.
