Thread: So hard to buy from website!

    Default So hard to buy from website!

    Nothing like a shopping cart acting up to turn me off and make me walk away. Of course I can't find anywhere to email someone about it.

    ~Took my credit card #, clicked "proceed"
    ~Took me to another page with no credit card option but just a PayPal, bank transfer and something else...

    grrr... any suggestions?

    Maybe try with a different browser?

    With Firefox I had no issues when buying.

    When I run into issues with a store I find if I try with a different browser things work out. It is the first thing I try.

    I just tried to purchase the upgrade using Chrome, and was presented with a message twice that the payment did not go through. Well, turns out the payment did go through -- twice, but I have received no download email with a link so that I can install the upgrade. And the transaction does not appear in my NetObjects account transaction list, which, if it did, would enable me to download it from there. Very frustrating. I sent a contact form to both NetObjects and ClickandBuy but have not heard back from either.

    Got it sorted out. ClickandBuy evidently has a problem with Chrome and generates a "Payment failed" message even if the payment completes (which it did for me ... twice). And, NO says they were having technical difficulties yesterday in processing payments, so they did not receive confirmation from ClickandBuy regarding the completed payments. ClickandBuy washed their hands of the problem by saying it was NO's problem, and only they (NO) could cancel a completed transaction. NO couldn't do it because they didn't have evidence that a transaction had been completed. I finallly called their support line, and spoke with a very nice fellow who took down the details, spoke to the accounting department, and came back saying everything was OK, i.e., the extra transaction had been canceled and the download link was on its way. After that, no problems, and the upgrade installed flawlessly. Lesson learned: don't use Chrome and ClickandBuy to make purchases from NO.
