    Sorry it took so long for me to post, had class finals this week. This did solve the problem. I think you are correct, it would explain why it works in compatibility mode on IE, but chrome and FF it was stuck left. The only odd thing is, once I published it and it automatically pulled up IE, it was fine and not in compatibility mode. Thanks - I had a feeling that I would have to use these tags, but frankly I don't see why NOF doesn't create it - kind of defeats the center check box.

    When I look at it, the page is centered. It's just very wide.

    what I do to ensure not the little page hops
    (not from the vertical scroll bar)
    is make sure all pages have the same layout region
    before I start
