    Default Show HTTPS on page

I am looking to show HTTPS on a page that sends messages to me by email. I have an SSL certificate with my hosting provider. When I manually type in https://tomthumblawncare.co.uk it shows, but I'd like it to show as users are directed to the page.

if you click here www.tomthumblawncare.co.uk you will see that it doesn't automatically show the https://

    Please help!

    Thanks

You can make a directive and list all pages you wish to force to https. What you use depends on what hosting environment you are on (windows or Linux)

    Hi

Thanks for the info. How do I do that? I assume my hosting is on Linux.

    Thanks

You should ask your host what they are providing you.

I can give you the coldfusion coding that works super slick (you list the pages you wish to display https and that's all there is to it) but if you cannot use coldfusion, it's pretty much a waste of both our times.

If you just want to assume linux you can google "linux force https" and can come up with several options for .htaccess coding and php coding (assuming you have access to php on your hosting account).

Since this is a "server side thing" your host may be the best person to ask what will work on their equipment.

Have you tried to access your website via HTTPS/SSL without using the 'www' prefix to see if it works? I had this problem a while back.
