The Parameter is Incorrect
I for some reason now am getting this error when I open NOF11 I email
support and they told me to run program as administrator which did but this
has not solved the problem. Anyone have a clue as to what this is and how to
fix it? Thanks

Tom,
Is this happening on a previously working NOF or a new installation? If
you ran as Administrator, did you use the right-click 'Run As
Administrator' - simply using an account with administrator privileges
(assuming Vista / Win7) won't work in that context. If so, you may have
been bitten by a Windows update.
If all else fails, you could try re-installing NOF (using the
right-click RAA for the setup program and the first run of NOF). This
won't break any existing sites - but make backups (export sites as
templates) first just in case, naturally <g>

Re: The Parameter is Incorrect
Ok now I am getting pissed. Not only did I reinstall and run as admin I am
still getting the same message and when I do open a site it wont let the
program close. I have to use ctrl+alt+del to close the program. I have also
uninstalled recent updates and that didnt even fix the problem. Any other
suggestions?

Re: The Parameter is Incorrect
A "Parameter is Incorrect" error message is often associated with the
Operating System being unable to locate a file or specified file system
location. In this case it might be that you have made a change to your
system or altered your user preferences such as folder locations, or are
using a .nod file imported from XP on a Vista/Win7 machine etc.
It's a little bit of a stab in the dark, but it might be worthwhile
double checking that all you user settings and locations are available
on that machine.

Re: The Parameter is Incorrect
The only thing that might have changed is windows updates. I can open sites
and publish them but the error causes the 'online' page to not display and
the only way to close the program is to use ctrl+alt+del. Other than that I
have not changed anything, and another wierd thing was that when I
reinstalled it did not ask me for my previous NOF serial number.... Should I
copy my user sites files to my desktop and the delete the new NOF directory
I created and the default NOF folder? All I know is that it was working last
week and then all of a sudden this stuff started happening. I am very
confused Thanks for the input though Am still waiting for support to get
back to me.

Re: The Parameter is Incorrect
OK Tom,
there are maybe some clues in there about what might be happening, but
it is still very odd.
Do you mean that it occurs when you use "Preview" to launch your browser
and view a copy of the site stored in your Preview folder? If so, it
might be that NOF is unable to launch the browser and/or is waiting for
a user input. That may also tie in with something being changed by a
Windows Update. Try changing the default browser launched by NOF and
see if it works.
You might also try to shrink the NOF window slightly so you can see
behind it and attempt the process again - is there a different error
box, or user input request window lurking under the NOF window? You
could use alt-tab to switch between windows to check for this too.
Also, you could use the Windows Event Viewer to check for any odd
application crashes at the time of the update and then research
associated error messages.
Finally, if you suspect a Windows Update, run a system restore to roll
back the change and check for functionality.
Hope some of that helps,
Richard

I've started getting exactly the same thing. 'Parameter is incorrect' on startup, and application freeze when doing online stuff. Any clues anyone.
