    Adrian,

For property or real estate they say "Location, location, location".

For web sites it's just as simple "Content, Content, Content".

I am also trying to find some information regarding Pay Per Click Advertising. I have launched my business website and just want to know if PPC can be used as SEO alternate or both these techniques should go hand in hand? Could anyone guide me?

PPC is not a substitute for good SEO. Having said that, a lot has changed since 2010 when this thread was last active and I'd recommend researching a great deal; there's a lot of information on the web, plus many scammers, so you need to be discerning.

Perhaps the most important thing at the moment is to make sure your site is using https secure sockets layer. You can purchase a security certificate fairly cheaply these days and your host will have the capability of making one available without any requirement for server configuration on your part (unless you're running your own web server, that is). Why is this necessary. Because Google has the intention of making the web secure (SSL uses 128-bit encryption between host and browser) and is now ranking web sites that are not secure (http instead of https) lower in the organic results than sites which are secure. Don't ask why; you just need to do it or you will lose your ranking.

Also Chrome is now giving a warning when connecting to a non-secure site and this will probably be enough to make your visitors shy away.
