Unused link assets won't delete

I am trying to delete some link assets that are no longer in use on the site
(this is on an imported site). I have verified visually on the design pages
that the link are gone and also looked at the code and there is no sign of
the links. However, the link still exists in Assets and I am unable to
manually delete it as it tells me its in use. It's not causing problems as
much as I'm trying to clean up the Assets page to make it easier to find
what I'm looking for. Any thoughts on why this would happen and what I can
do to resolve it?

This may be a stupid question, but have you considered reoptimizing the
site first?

Check to see if you have one or more masterborders defined that my no longer
be in use. People often forget that graphic assets might be included in
these old MB's.

Hi

I don't know about links but this works for images. If all else fails, all I
do is make a fake file - it's normally a gif or jpg that's missing. I give
it the same name as the missing file and browse to it in the asset list, so
the original link is now pointing to the new file. I then export as
template, make new site as template, and then can delete those links.

I can't test because I don't have a site with this problem but was wondering
whether, if you made a new page and hand made those links again, whether,
after doing the template thing, Fusion would let you delete the links in the
new site?

Many thanks for all the great ideas! I ended up deleting all the links on
the pages with problems, re-optimized, exported the site and created a new
one. It cleared it up and I was then able to manually delete the links.
