Who can advise me a special tool to protect a NOF-webpage with a userid and a password?

I don't like the possibility that NOF11 offers AND
I don't like working with htaccess and htpassword.

It not necesarely has to be freeware!

How about using PHP and a database?

If you don't want to use htaccess or the option in Fusion that uses a csv text file to store user/password info, you pretty much have to use a real database.

I have a template available for doing this sort of thing.... using PHP/MySQL.

Most hosting control panels allow you to create a password protected folder with just a few mouse clicks.

Hi,

just wanted to show you this script too. This has been programmed by a German guy. My pages are in German but maybe you like to have a look and try to translate via Google translation button at the bottom of my pages.

This script uses MySQL and PHP and users can register and login. It has an administration panel and much more. Users may either activate their account by mail or it could be set to an activation by the admin only. My example allows your own activation - just test it if you like.
