Default Publishing with NOF to a subdomain

Asking this now so I can reconfig if I need to. I have a site that will
be a Wordpress installation. I installed Wordpress to the root domain
name. I need to have some PDF's and whatnot that I had intended to just
upload with NOF as file links, then link to them from within Wordpress.

Problem is Wordpress in on the root directory. Seems in older versions
of NOF this was not possible or not recommended. I can always install
Wordpress to a subdirectory like /home or somesuch.

Can I publish with NOF to a subdomain without mucking things up?

    thanks

I have found a few issues trying to get Fusion to publish to a subdomain
(which may vary from host to host).

The 2 work around I have used are:

    1) local publish and use a 3rd party FTP program to upload where you want
    everything

    2) create a special FTP account in your hosting control panel which defaults
to the subdomain folder and use that log in ID/pswrd in Fusion's remote
publish profile. Make sure you leave your directory location blank in your
Fusion remote settings as the FTP account will automatically log you into
    the correct folder.

You can publish a site from Fusion to any folder in your domain.

In your remote publish profile, simply add a directory name after the root
    path.

If your WP install is in /www/sitename, for example, publish your NOF site
    to /www/sitename/nofsite.

    Or whatever.

A sub-domain, is actually like replacing the www in www.sitename.com with
    something else, such as subdomain1.sitname.com.

That's simple enough, and makes more sense than the subdomain. Thank you!

A subdomain is a folder........ but one that is treated in a special way
    by the web server.

When you create a subdomain you are creating a folder but that folder can be
    addressed as a URL

    http://subdomain.yourdomain.com

(where "yourdomain.com" is the actual name of your domain and "subdomain" is
the actual folder name of a subdomain you created)

    is the same thing as

    http://www,yourdomain.com/subdomain/

IF....... you have created "subdomain" in your hosting control panel as a
    subdomain.
