Menu / Navigation bar not appearing, carousel not spinning

Ive seen this before and cant remember how I fixed it.
Both pages coming form the same NOF file
Test pages all work:

But on the page Im actually working on,

there's no menu, and carousel is displaying all three images down the page.
Debugging code with Inspect Element shows the navigation bar code is missing image reference line within the div

Why anyone?

Okay worked it out - sort of - for those interested, read on.
NOF was not generating the image code for the menus - they did not appear in preview or local publish.
I did a few things:
Using Firefox I analysed the page and it reported errors included a ',' it didn't like in 2c-buy_nof.js
I don't know why NOF is generating this file, Ive never seen it before. Anyway it reported it was attached to an image on y page that has a link - I was able to delete this.
I also deleted preview and local publish folders and republished to the test page.
Now the menus are there and the carousel is working.
So the cause may have just been a need to clear out those local files. Cant be 100% sure.
