Newsgroup members,

Hello. I am new to the group, my name is Norma. I am helping a family
member to rework a website built with NetObjects. It is currently being
maintained with version 11.

I need help from users experienced in using NetObjects together with
html/css standards.Would someone mind advising me?

SITE GOALS

1_remove all inline styles
2_use css for styles
3_validate to html standards (I haven't selected one yet)
4_same for css standards
5_create a template to use for future and current pages
6_if possible, remove tables and replace with divs
7_there may be more

I have high hopes but know little about NetObjects, only what I have
read in the documentation which I have not yet completed reading.

I have run into two important obstacles before starting this project.
They are listed next.

1_family member's os is Windows (not sure which on but probably the
latest) and mine is Linux (NetObjects does not work in Linux)
2_editor is NebObjects (WYSIWYG) and I hand code mine using a free open
source editor

Before asking specific questions, I would like to hear comments about
this situation. Has anyone else been in a similar situation? How did
they find a way to communicate code between opposing software?

Can I communicate a file between these two programs and can I achieve my
goals for the file, as listed above?

Any advice is appreciated.
