    Default close site without saving

So you make a bunch of style changes that in the end you don't like... How
can I change NOF without saving it...
One way is to use the template I created at the end of my last session... is
there another just in case my last template was actually not complete ??

    Hi dwolf;

I am not an expert here. But this is what I did.

I don't like to save every time I make a change either. But I like the
program to ask if I want to save.

    Open an existing web site.

To to TOOLS/OPTIONS/APPLICATION. On the Programs Tab. UNCHECK Auto Save.

Now when you close NOF11 it will ask if you want to save the site.

    Hope that helps.

    Kind Regards,
    Jeri

Well I was going to either use a backup version, or the template. I had
confidence that my last template was after I completed my last work and I
was correct... and so that's that

That's usable and works IF you do the Save As right away, before you make
    any changes.
The reason is that, according to Help, the database (website) is updated
every time you change to a new view unless the feature to save automatically
    is turned off.
Personally I like the autosave ON so I won't forget to save, even if it
does always ask if you want to save when it's turned off. I can't absent
mindedly bypass the save when it's automatic.

More often than not, if I start to think I might not want to keep the
changes I'm making, I'll just do an Export to a Template before I start.
ITs' something I try to remember to do whenever I make any changes anyway.
It also lets you choose any point in time to save the whole site to a
template so you can readily go back to a version without any changes made to
it. Appending the date/time to the template's .zip filname also gives you
    a sort of version history.
Aside from what seems like a serious misnomer to me, saving to a template
is the surest way to be certain everything needed gets backed up so a zip
    file.

    Twayne

Default PS Re: close site without saving

PS - I meant to send this with my response, but forgot: It's from NOF 11
    Help:
    Setting Program Options
From the Tools menu, choose Options>Application.

The Program tab of the Application Options dialog appears.

a.. Auto save. When this option is selected, your site is saved each time
you change views or pages. If you clear the Auto save check box, be sure to
save your site periodically by choosing Save Site from the File menu.
However, with the Auto save check box cleared, upon exiting the application
you will be prompted to choose whether to save the changes to your website
or to cancel the closing operation.

    Cheers,

    Twayne`
