    Default Feedback form error

I am using NetObjects Fusion 12 and am trying to put a feedback form on my site. I was directed to the site wizard and used theirs but am having problems. I am posting here because the instructions were for NetObects 11 and the instructions said there was some compatibility issues between the wizard and NetObjects. Seeing if that is part of my problem.

The feedback form itself published to my site. Problems with the Thank You and Error pages. When I test the form I get A 404 error. When I type www.mysite.com/error into a browser, I get a 404 error. When I type www.mysite.com/error.html, I get my error page. Any ideas?

Have you gone through the documentation for Fusion 12? It's available on the Netobjects site under Support -> Documentation.

Went trough the documentation and seem to be doing everything correctly. Deleted the feedback page and started over. Now, even typing in www.mysite.com/error.html produces a 404 error. The feedback form still appears on my site. Checked my "local publish" file. The "scripts" file is empty. Would that have anything to do with my problem?

Ok at this stage we probably need to see the URL where you are publishing the form to. Also screen grabs of your form settings would be a good idea. Can't help unless we know what you're doing.

As you can probably tell, this is my first experience with a website. And probably my last. This is frustrating. Screen grabs of my form settings. I don't know where the settings are. I followed the instructions for Netobjects Fusion 12 word for word. I followed the instructions to TheSiteWizard word for word. My feedback form does not work. I screwed up the original site by trying to delete everything associated with the feedback form thinking something residual was keeping it from working and had to revert to a backup. Now, only the form shows correctly. Can not even get it to show the form page by typing in www.mysite.com/feedback.php. I get an http 404 error. This is definitely NOT for anyone. I'm lost.

Fought the current page and form to no avail. Completely deleting the form, feedback page, thank you page, error page and al .html's that go with them from NoF on my computer and the server. Will start over tonight. Will let you know results tomorrow, hopefully.

Still no avail with a working feedback form. Just out of curiosity, my site is md-8.org. When I created the site and named it, I named it lions. Will that make a difference? Using windows 7.

    http://www.md-8.org/html/feedback.html
    http://www.md-8.org/html/thank_you.html
    http://www.md-8.org/html/error.html

Saved feedback form script in "c:/users/joe/my documents/netobjects fusion 12/user sites/lions". Feedback form script is in "Assets". Created feedback form page, thank you page, error page. Server has a folder called "Feedback". It contains: a "thank you" folder containing "thank_you.html" and a "error" folder containing "error.html". Also in the "feedback" folder is a file called "feedback.html". On the server there is also a file called "feedback.php".

    Hope this helps.

Form processing is server side scripting so one of the harder parts of "web stuff" to get your head around as each host has different requirements.

You may want to drop back and punt using 123 contact form to process your forms (simple stuff) just to move forward.

Here is my tutorial on how this works with Fusion

Thank you. Can't hurt. Tried thesitewizard.com's feedback form. Did not work. Will try this to keep my sanity. Will try over the weekend and post results.
