    "System Information" isn't something I've heard of. Where would I be able to find this?

    can you exclude the whole Nof program folder in your avast antivirus and then try again, if it can't be excluded in avast settings, try and stop avast and see if online view works

    also, windows defender service is running, I usually stop this service and set it to disabled

    also, what is searchprotect, it is running and starts with windows, can it be disabled for testing?

    I disabled the antivirus, stopped Windows Defender and removed SearchProtect. I've had the same result with NOF. I've attached another snapshot of the system, if that helps.

    Thanks for the ideas so far. I'd really like to get this running.

    also, open Internet explorer, go to tools, manage addons, make sure Java is available and enabled

    I updated the graphics card driver with the latest driver recommended by the manufacturer. I checked and made sure that the Java Plugin in IE was enabled (it wasn't originally). No change to the page in NOF.

    be sure to restart PC after enabling Java in IE

    you may also need to uninstall and reinstall Nof in order to pick up on the changes to IE
